Nancy

Nancy is a partner in Explore Asia, a tour organizer with a core value of empowering people to
act on responsible tourism.
She has a lifelong commitment to sustainability rooted in her farming grandparents' reverence
for the land that supported them.
In the decade she lived in Asia, Nancy immersed herself in understanding the fragile nature of
Asia's indigenous people and the eco systems that support them.
When she returned to the US, she and her partner Allan Friedman discovered a way to channel
their environmental commitment through Sustainable Travel International where Nancy is an
advisor.
With 25 year's experience as a facilitator/coach and executive producer for media-based
learning initiatives in the US and Asia, Nancy now channels her diverse communication skills
through responsible tourism. She was the first American to complete a PhD in online
communication at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
Brian
Mullis: Contributor
Brian is a co-founder of Sustainable Travel International with the mission of promoting
responsible travel and facilitating the travel and tourism industry's move toward
sustainability.
He has over 19 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. He began his career
spending summers during college working in national parks in Wyoming, Montana and Utah. He
was the President and owner of The World Outdoors, an international adventure travel company
specializing in active and eco-travel.
He has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a focus on Business from Auburn University and
a Master'sDegree in Recreation Management from Springfield College.
Best of all he has amazing commitment and insight. When he talks, we listen and think you will
benefit as well.
Buzzy Gordon: Blog Contributor and Tour Leader
Buzzy's passions are introducing Westerners to the wonders of Oriental medicine and wellness techniques, its culinary delights and percussive music traditions.
He has had Asia in his blood since his first visit in 1975, when he arrived as a backpacker after traveling overland from England to Nepal. For a year he lived in Bangkok, teaching English at Thammassat University and standing in as the "rabbi" for Bangkok’s Jewish community.
He later returned to Southeast Asia to work as a regional journalist based in Singapore and now travelers frequently to Asia, including India where he is a veteran participant in Ayurveda's Panchakarma detoxification regimen.
